Lidded cast iron frying pan Ø 40 cm

You can fry meat and fish products in it, sauté vegetables, it is excellent for braising dishes and baking bread. It differs from a conventional frying pan in the speed and high quality of quenching. This effect is created by thick walls and a base with a large working surface. The heat is distributed gradually and evenly, allowing the dish to cook well without burning. The presence of small side handles makes it easier to place the product in the oven. Cast iron is an environmentally friendly metal. Our ancestors preferred only cast iron cookware.

Instructions for first use:
  • Rinse the dishes under running water and then wipe off the moisture with a cloth / sponge.
  • Place the crockery on a stove and heat it up to remove the moisture completely.
  • Put a few drops of oil on the surface of the dishes and cover the entire surface.
  • Once it has cooled down completely, the dishes can be used.
  • When cooking for the first time, we recommend heating the dishes over a medium heat for approx. 4-5 minutes.
Advantages of cast iron:
  • Due to the high heat retention of cast iron, the frying pan stays hot for a long time and keeps the food warm even when serving.
  • The heat conductivity and even heat distribution (base/walls) ensure gentle frying and an all-round even frying result. You can taste it!
  • Cast iron is extremely energy-saving: food can be cooked with low energy consumption even at low heat.
  • Despite other opinions, cast iron is easy to clean and maintain. The more you use it, the better the frying results!
  • Durable - frying pan can soak up fats and develop a quality non-stick coating when exposed to high temperatures.
If handled incorrectly, dishes without a coating can rust. The corrosion is easily cleaned with a steel sponge. After repeating the procedure in point 2, the dishes will regain their original shape.

Please note!
  • Do not store food in cast iron cookware.
  • Cast iron cookware is NOT suitable for the dishwasher.
  • Dry the dishes after washing and cover them with a thin layer of vegetable oil.
  • It is recommended to store the dishes in a dry, ventilated place.
  • The shelf life is unlimited.
Caution: Corrosion on cast iron crockery is not a defect, but the result of incorrect handling!
