Please be responsible when handling this item.This highly prized wine is a masterpiece of Georgian winemaking and is produced in the eponymous village of Khvanchkara in the historic region of Racha, Georgia. It consists mainly of the two indigenous grape varieties Alexandrouli and Mujuretuli, which are grown exclusively in the Racha region.
The Khvanchkara red wine is produced using the unique Rachan-Lekhumi technology, in which fermentation is interrupted by lowering the temperature. The grapes are harvested by hand when their sugar content reaches around 22%. The ruby red hue makes the wine a real eye-catcher.
